Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026.
1. The service
BranForge provides a shared WhatsApp inbox platform for small businesses, connecting a customer's WhatsApp number to a team-accessible interface with contact management, payment collection, and consent tracking. The service is currently offered as an early-access pilot, not a general public release.
2. Your account and number
You're responsible for the WhatsApp number you connect and for how your team uses it, including compliance with WhatsApp's own Business Policy and applicable South African law (including POPIA and the CPA). Connecting a number to BranForge means it can no longer run the standard WhatsApp Business app at the same time.
3. Payments
Your BranForge subscription fee is a direct software payment, billed monthly via Paystack — it is not held on behalf of any third party. Payments you collect from your own customers through BranForge's in-chat payment feature are also processed via Paystack. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms and how customer payments are currently routed.
4. Data
Details on what we collect and how it's processed are in our Privacy Policy.
5. Limitation of liability
BranForge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BranForge and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
6. Changes and termination
We'll tell you directly before making changes that affect your use of the platform. Either party can end the arrangement per the terms confirmed on your onboarding call.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
